Sennheiser MD421 

A classic large-diaphragm dynamic workhorse from Germany. Has the added bonus of looking like a spaceship. Often found orbiting the planets Tom Tom, Guitar Amp, Bass Cab, and Van Morrison (seriously! It was his go-to vocal mic for a bit). Frequency response is adjustable from “M” for music (flat) to “S” for speech (steep low-end roll off). The vintage Telefunken ones look really cool. Withstands abuse like a champ and rarely meets a source it doesn’t like.
